| | | Re: Smallish bee for ID Yes I'm seeing similar bees which usually have their heads buried in flowers which makes them virtually impossible to identify.
You really need something positive to start with; like a clear view of the face, wing veins and legs.
And at this time of the year there are so many possibilities. Many of the spring bees, such as some Andrena species, are still active in early July while later season arrivals, like the earlier Coelioxys are just starting to appear.
