ID if poss for bee - poss Andrena nitida ??
I know Andrena species are nigh on impossible to ID from photos, but I'm just hoping I've perhaps got enough angles of this today to make an exception! It was about 12mm long, ginger thorax, blackish abdomen, with pale grey hairs on the tibia, especialy on the front of the very thick hind leg. Looking at the pics on BWARS I was wondering if it could be Andrena nitida, except their shots seem to show white hairs under the shoulders - which I couldn't see on this. Any advice gratefully received!
