My daughter found this insect stowed away in some imported wooden garden furniture. Country of origin unknown.
Anyone have a clue what it is?
Could it be some kind of cockroach??

It is a Lepismatid ,which includes silverfish,firebrats,I'm not sure which one this is exactly.

Yes, as Jason says - the general area of Silverfish. It may be worth sending the photo ( by email) to the NHM, see what they say. Not native though - very confident of that. Where is it now?
