How do you get these things to stay still long enough to get a decent photo? (well thats my excuse)

Any chance of an ID?

There were lots of males about but are the last segments right for the Azure Damselfly?

It's a female Common Blue. The triangular shape on the top of 8th abdomen segment is a good feature to look for (a more or les square black shape in Azure) + the antehumeral stripes are quite broad.
