Like syrphus ribesii, but guess quite possibly at Xanthogramma sp - wait for experts though!

It's probably a male Eupeodes corollae, but I had wondered about a Didea for a sec, initially. Quote:

So while we are waiting for an expert . . .
I'm tempted to consider Eupeodes latifasciatus. The frons is at least half black, but is there a black edge to the abdomen? To me, those yellow bands appear more like E. latifasciatus but I would like to see a larger and clearer photo before committing myself.
