Whenever I was a kid, i always seen theses we red spiders, it became natural to see one, but i havnt seen one in yrs up unitil dis year, av been seing them loads, jus seen one there nigh which dawned on me i dont even no what there called. I always called them bloodsuckers, maybe thats what you call them but im not sure, becuz ive looked it up an havnt found any pictures of it. Its a tiny, tiny spider, the colour of it is dark red a bit like blood. Theres nothing to tell u about it.. PLz does anybody no what this is, or is it realli a bloodsucker.. |

| | | Re: Problem with the BloodSuckers !! Sounds like Red Spider Mites.
These aren't bloodsuckers, and generally aren''t a problem, although they are sometimes considered a pest by gardeners. |

| | | Re: Problem with the BloodSuckers !! If they are very active they may well be Velvet Mites which are beneficial. These are more obvious than the Red Spider Mites that Roy mentions above.
You've nothing to fear from them. |

| | | Re: Problem with the BloodSuckers !! Yes, thanks Aeshna, Velvet Mites are the ones that I was thinking of - Red Spider Mites are so small that they probably wouldn't be noticed without a lens! |
