| | | Beautiful Demoiselle, question. For the last week, I have been watching, Beautiful Demoiselle's in a garden near, where I work. I have tracked them to a river, and have watched and photographed them. They are as their name. Beautiful.
But I have only seen lots of male.
There are no females to be seen. Any reason ? Are they more shy, and hiding ?
I was hoping by now that i would have seen one. |

| | | Re: Beautiful Demoiselle, question. Not sure about beautifuls but the banded males often congregate very close to the water flitting about finding the best perching places and displaying over the water.
The female bandeds are often found a little way back from the water and often higher up. |

You may well be right. It looked as though, the Beautifuls and the Bandeds were all trying for the same spots.
Will take another look tomorrow. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
