Robberfly ID please
Howdy all,

This flew past me last week at The Lodge (Beds). Any chance of an ID? Reasonably large, that's a garden chafer it's about to munch on.

Any chance of an ID? Or is it impossible with the lack of a shot showing the wing venation?

Afternoon Will,

Sorry, I'm guilty of kicking this one to one side! I'm not at all sure of these, they all seem to big and hairy. Maybe wing venation would be of assistance to an expert though - or the UK dipterists' forum.
