Beetle id please
There was a beetle clinging desperately on to the side of my car in a carpark in Galloway and having looked in various books i can't identify it.[i have a photo of it but i'm too thick to work out to load on the forum!] --So sorry i will have to describe it. Blackish and about 1" long--with two yellow chevron type stripes on each side of it's back. I'm sure it is something obvious to you Bug people out there,but i would be grateful to know what it is.Thanks

Hi Pegasus

My first guess Rhagium Bifasciatum,one of the longhorn beetles,try that.
