| | beetle in my living room! I've found this in my living room.
I think it is a beetle but could anyone identify what exactly it is? where do they live? are they harmful to human?
Many thanks in advance!

| | | Re: beetle in my living room! It's a weevil of some kind. Like most beetles they're not harmful to humans but some may do severe damage to any pot plants you might have! Throw this one outside and keep an eye on any plants. |

well, now I have a new excuse for never being able to keep any plant alive for more than 6 month!
It's the weevil is on its way to the garden. God bless the birds.

| | | Re: beetle in my living room! It's a vine weevil - they lay their eggs in the soil of house plants and also container grown plants. The hatched larvae then feed on the roots and ultimately destroy the plant. The seem to be particularly attracted to begonias, cyclamen and impatiens (busy lizzie) from my experience. Good luck! You can buy a product to water into the soil if you have precious plants you want to protect. Good luck! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
