id help needed please
Hi all - I'm new here so hope this works ok!

I live in Germany and am a photographer. Plenty of opportunities for photos in the garden but I do not have any idea as to what this is:


Any help gratefully received!

I think it's Trichius fasciatus a scarabaeid usually found on umbellifers. Fairly uncommon in UK but maybe less so in Germany.

Yes Bee Beetles. I found a few last year while in the Highlands; most were on various thistle flowers.
