| | | Sawfly (?) for ID I think this is a sawfly but happy to be corrected... no idea which one. Very long antennae. Seen in my "long grass" area of the garden.

| | | Re: Sawfly (?) for ID Impossible to tell from those photos I'm afraid. There are a few sawflies with reddish abdomen colouration but if it had a 'waspish' waist it could also be one of the vast family of Ichneumon wasps. |

| | | Re: Sawfly (?) for ID Your photo certainly depicts a hymemopterous insect. Since it is neither a sawfly nor an aculeate then it will be one of a multitude of parasitic wasps.
Usually these are impossible to identify from photos and not much easier from actual specimens.
