| |  Scarce Chaser Dragonfly?
Just wondered if anyone could confirm if this is a Scarce Chaser dragonfly? It appeared in my garden in Dorset today (I'm about a mile from the R. Stour/flood plain).
It seems to have the right colouring for a female, but with the blue/steel eyes of a male?

Thanks. I read that you had one in your garden - last year? Is your dragon/damsel spot still intact nearby? or has it been destroyed by development? |

Yes Scarce Chaser,I popped out to see some today,and managed to find a few near me today.It is on the increase but still a very good find Tigger. |

It found me Jason. I was filling the kettle for a cuppa, looked out the window and there it was - perched on one of my camelias. Luckily it sat there while I ran out and took a few shots before heading off over the hedge. First I've EVER seen and definitely a first for my garden.

yes, still getting them and it will be a few years yet before the development is built so they are fine at the moment.
