bee id please

hi,
this is kinda strange coming from someone who has a mild phobia of bees and wasps (as well as an allergy to the stings). but i really felt sorry for this bee, it must have been attacked by a bird or a larger insect. it was looking a bit sluggish sitting on a leaf when i took this photo, but because i didn't want to get too close i didn't notice that the tips of the wings had been damaged until i uploaded the photo off of my phone to the computer



once it wings are damaged would it be able to fly again or not?

Yes, it will be able to fly, bees' wings can get quite worn. Do you have any more photos at different angles, this one looke like it could be Bombus hypnorum.
