very large caterpiller

Hi

I am new to the forum. And very interested in our native flora and fauna.

Last weekend while out for a walk I came across this creature does anyone know what type of caterpiller it is, it is about the size of a Kit-kat finger.

If you look closely there is a wood louse next to it's head.

Unfortunalty I can't post my pic of it up so I cant show it to you, how do I get my pic up here so I can share it with you?

This site can initially appear a bit tricky when uploading your first images but, in reality, it is easier than it seems.

Providing your photo is suitably sized, go to the Gallery and Upload Photos. You should get 2 options for the Image Gallery (for general discussions) and the Main Gallery (high quality correctly identified and labeled photos). Select the blue General Images section and follow the instructions. Have a good read of these before doing your first upload.
