Wasplike insect for ID please
Whatever these are, they are burrowing in the brickwork & ground outside my house.
I assume some sort of Miner or Hoverfly?
The first picture, whilst not a very good angle, is a pair mating.

Any idea's please?

These look like Cerceris arenaria, a crabronid wasp that preys on Weevils. They will not be damaging any brickwork or mortar as they mine directly into the ground
