| | | Very large lunch I was quite surprised at the size of the fly this Crab spider has caught. Does the spider inject any venom or something to kill the fly?

| | | Re: Very large lunch Think you will find this is a female [Misumena vatia] which anchors itself to flower heads waiting for its prey. Seizes prey with its front legs before biting and injecting its poison. There can be subtle colour variations in this species but here its white abdomen blends well with the plant. Size 9-11 mm
