I think it's a Leaf-cutter Bee (Hymenoptera, Megachilidae); it looks more robust with what I think are pollen-colllecting hairs on the ventral side of the abdomen. Perhaps more anecdotally, I find the wings of the smaller bees cover the dorsal surface better too.

Thanks Jason. Here's the first view as it crawled out of the pot. I must watch it tomorrow and see if it comes with leafy bits.
