The green beetle looks like its eating the plant.
Can someone ID it for me please..
Thanks Elaine |

| | | Re: Green beetle for ID Evening Elaine,
It's a Flea Beetle, family Chrysomelidae. Impossible to identify to genus/species without a specimen, I'm afraid - too many subtle features on too many sides! A real 3D-manipulation job on a pin
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Green beetle for ID ... could be
The thing that made me think of an Aliticinae was the way I thought I could see the hind tibia positioned underneath what I thought was an enlarged hind femur - thinking similar-looking Leaf Beetles had the tibiae more distally-extended.
I was probably being a little too familiar with them |

| | | Re: Green beetle for ID Hi Jason, my suggestion was purely a suggestion - it may not be large or blue enough and of course is a great (introduced?) rarity and only recently found in the Manchester region and - dare I say it? - at a site near Barnsley a few weeks ago (see barnsleywildlife for a poor photo). So I just threw in the idea to alert people to possibilites really.
