Loads of these around at the moment. Look like Beris sp. but I don't know which has these leg markings.  |

Afternoon Peter, Chloromyia? I personally thought Peter was closer with Beris. The male C. formosa in my collection lacks the swollen hind metatarsus, distal scutellum spines and apical orange markings to the tibiae...

Just an update. I posted this on diptera.info where it was identified as Beris fuscipes, confirmed by John Coldwell.

The images on dipt.info are obviously Beris, perhaps not quite so clear cut here.
