Froghopper froth
I watched this tiny thing create his bubble home for about 20 minutes. How do they make the moisture for this amount?

It siphons sap out of plants and secretes the excess through its anus, the sugary fluid ferments and creates bubbles .....

The last paragraph here - BBC - h2g2 - Cuckoo-spit and the Froghopper - gives more detail
