I'd think it's Cantharis pallida - the dark apices of the femora differentiate it from the equally common C. rufa. About 7-8 mms long? |

From memory I would have said nearer double that for length, certainly over 10mm anyway,

Okay, shouldn't do things from memory at my age (  ). C. rufa it is - apart from the size; it's the distal end of the hind tibiae (not the femora) that is dark in C. pallida but never in C. rufa. Sorry for the confusion .... | | |
