| | | What the... Was that?? ID Please! Whilst in Scotland, on my way down to Glasgow from Fort William a very large insect landed on the car window...
It looked like a cricket, yet was not as tall, it was long and flat, sort of, quite a rectangular body, 6 long thin legs, Giant wings on its back and sticky up things on its head...
We only saw it for about 5 seconds so this is what I saw, before it went on the roof, and we closed all windows, hell, I didnt want it in the car, it was a good inch, maybe even a inch and a 1/2...
Could anyone identify this please? |

I'm not aware of a common name although at one time trout anglers used the live nymphs as bait and called them "creepers". |
