| | | Wondering if this cld be Bombus hypnorum pls? In amongst lots of Bombus hortorum and pratorum on the cotoneaster today have been some different looking bees - seeming to have a darker brown thorax than pascuorum, but maybe just worn? Moving too quickly for any decent shots I'm afraid. Any help appreciated! |

Yes, sure is! I've seen it in my garden three days running.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Wondering if this cld be Bombus hypnorum pls? Both look to be B.hypnorum, the second shows the classic "brown - black - white" colour pattern for this species, unlike anything else we have in the UK. Send the record to BWARS to be mapped - see the thread by Stuart (Eucera). |

| | | Re: Wondering if this cld be Bombus hypnorum pls? OK Matt - will do! I did spot and report one, a bit further afield, earlier in the Spring - but never in the garden before - and more than one this time. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
