| | | Re: A very tatty nomada Evening Peter,
I think I'll catiously suggest something along the lines of Nomada ruficornis as far as photo-based IDs go, but if you could look at the mandibles - simple or bifid...
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: A very tatty nomada Thanks Jason. I'll have a look tomorrow & perhaps post some more photos - it's bedtime now
The photos I have found on the web seem to have more yellow on the abdominal segments. For some reason the BWARS site doesn't have a photo in their Gallery.
Cheers

| | | Re: A very tatty nomada I should wait until you have had a look at the mandibles before suggesting names - they'll probably turn out to be 'simple'! I'd compare it to my specimen, but I'm still awaiting my 20w halogen lamp.
How long do you keep the insects refridgerated? |

You were right. The mandibles are bifid. That's good because NBN doesn't have a record for my area ( not unusual - I don't think anybody has ever recorded insects around here )
I sometimes keep them for 3 or 4 days if I think I might need to answer some specific query. It's always great when you reply so quickly . They seem to come to no harm.
Cheers
