| | | Fly & Grasshopper for ID Would be grateful if anyone could name this fly and grasshopper. The grasshopper is not fully mature if that's the word to use and I have trouble identifying mature grasshoppers let alone immature ones.
Many thanks |

| | | Re: Fly & Grasshopper for ID Grasshopper nymphs are harder than adults, but I think possibly a Common Green Grasshopper. |

| | | Re: Fly & Grasshopper for ID Evening Ollie,
The fly looks a little deformed, to me. Anyway, as wing venation is out of the question I'll have to go by jist alone - possibly Anthomyiidae.
Take care, Jason |

Take care, Jason | Thanks Jason, the wings definitely look deformed, however it didn't seem to effect it's ability to fly.
Thanks for taking the time to look and I agree it does seem to be an Anthomyiidae. |

| | | Re: Fly & Grasshopper for ID Maybe it has recently emerged from pupation and the wings are still drying, then. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
