| | | Mayfly for ID please I saw this mayfly yesterday, or I assume it is a mayfly as I don't know anything about them. The wings seem very opaque, is this because it has just emerged?
Any info on it would be greatly appreciated. I didn't realise what great looking creatures they are. Sorry the photo doesn't do it justice. |

| | | Re: Mayfly for ID please It certainly looks like a Mayfly. But how many 'tails' did it have?
If 3 tails; I would suggest considering an Ephemera species.
But I know very little about this family and I'm just referring to my limited literature.
So once again - Can we have an expert here please. |

| | | Re: Mayfly for ID please Hi Geoff. Thanks for your help.
I did have a look at the other photographs I took but there is no way of knowing for sure how many tails it had. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
