OK, dont shout - I know its WAB! Just thought I'd give you all first go at these unknowns from Greece, near Rhodes.

Ant lion, but seeemed too small. 
Sheild bug, unknown 
Hymenoptera, unknown 
And a tough beetle, about 2cm long

The first insect is an antlion, but not sure which species. The last one is the beetle Bostrychus capucinus, which used to be found in the UK apparently, but is now extinct.
I think there's a separate forum on this site for non-UK animals.

The hymenopteran is a winged ant, but don't know which species.

Yes I know it was a tad naughty for potential non-UK species, but until ID'd, didnt know whether they were or not!
Ant lion in suffolk for example.....................

Im currently going through my photos from greece (Kefalonia). I found a few species of antlion - the first photo is definately and antlion based on the head and antennae, I found one similar that I've tentitvely labelled as Euroleon sp. |
