tiny beetle for id please
Any chance of identifying this beetle?
I'd guess it was about 5mm long, and was found on sandy ground below eroding cliffs at Yaverland, IoW, this afternoon.
Vegetation in the area includes gorse, restharrow, sedges, teasel, bramble.

I think it's possibly a leaf weevil, but I'm sure someone will know exactly

A Sitona sp. it is, and I have just been reading that both larvae and adults feed on various legumes including clovers and gorse, both of which are plentiful in the poor soils where this specimen was found.
