Ichneumon ID please

Hi folks, we think this is an Ichneumon, but which one? Maybe Pimpla Hypochondiaca?

Evening Pam,

It's a Fly as opposed to a Wasp I feel, and maybe from the Tipulidae family in my opinion

Looks like Ctenophora pectinicornis.

Thanks for pointing us in the right direction Jason & Laurence. Laurence I think you are right, I`ve had a ggogle & found some images. I forgot to say that it was about 25-30mm in body length. I was looking at Dicennidia bimaculata as well but I think these are too small. Are they common? We have never seen anything like it before, it was lovely shining in the sunlight.

I've only found it on only two occasions in the 35 years I have been studying flies.
