A big March fly ID
Largest march fly I've ever seen- around 13mm body length (about twice the size of the ones I normally see). Assume it is Bibio species male. Sitting on a Thuja fir tree.
Any more ID info possible ?

The St. mark's fly: Bibio marci
They are pretty big. You know all about it when one flies into your face .

It is a female Bibio marci, not male.
