| | | A bunch of pics to id if poss. (1) Mirid bug?
(2) Dung fly
(3) Drone fly
(4) Bee..... Wasp
(5) Very large Wasp..... early April. Didn't want to leave.
(6)Mining Bees? Infest the sandy soil in my garden, the males tracking every move the female makes when visiting the burrows. They get very agitated when I accidently cover the entrances, or move a location landmark they use.
The Bees must burrow down a considerable depth, the excavated sand mound they make at the entrance, lies at least a 18" down. Amazing!
Thanks for your help Amazing people that you are

The abdomen marks match the one of the pdf Social wasps key 1 on external links. The Highland Biological Recording Group

| | | Re: A bunch of pics to id if poss. The Queen Wasp only see 2 yellow spots on rear of thorax, and the abdomen pattern matches as Janet spotted. Could be The Red wasp Vesula rufa......pity I didn't get a head shot.
Thanks eucera, Janet and 'morning to Jason Have a great day!
