Anyone seen any dragonflys in the northwest yet, I keep lokking but havnt seen any as yet

I'm probably a bit early.

Have a look at "Hot News" on the British Dragonfly Society Website, they usually keep that quite up to date.

I've not seen any dragons this far north yet, just a few Large Red Damselflies.

I saw a teneral Club-tailed Dragonfly today which conveniently landed at Hartslock NR, near Goring. First I'd seen for some years.

I saw a few more Large Red Damsels, and my first Dragons of the year, Four-spotted Chasers, at Uath Lochans in Glenfeshie this afternoon. It was a gloriously sunny day, really warm.

Assuming by North West you mean near Manchester then Four-spotted chasers (about 4-5) at Rixton Clay pits. Lots of large red, azure and blue tailed damsels.

I really want to find a site with Banded and / or Beautiful Demoiselle so if anyone can tell me where to look round here without referring to the gateway I would be grateful
