large flying insect help
Hi
I am trying to identify a large insect that flew into the house last night. It was constantly flying so I couldn't really see very well what colours it was. It was about 3 inches long with a tapered abdomen and had little fluffy bits on the end of its antenna. I have never seen anythng like this before, but could be really common and I just haven't been lucky enough to see it until now.
Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be a Cockchafer- check some images in the Gallery.

Almost certainly a cockchafer(May Bug). I had 18 in my moth trap on Thursday morning. Seems they are having a good year
