couple for id/confirmation

today, there were a few of these threatening looking insects covering themselves in pollen from buttercups and seemingly attacking other smaller insects. i'm not sure but it looks like a sawfly, possibly Tenthredo arcuata.


these were again within buttercups, loads of these about, in big groups, as shown in the photo, no idea though!


and finally, this weevil (?) sort of greeny-salmon pink, kind of iridescent. again not sure on this one

Tenthredo family looks quite possible for the sawfly but there are a few similar species of Tenthredo so I wouldn't like to suggest a firm ID there.

A think the beetles are what I know as 'Pollen Beetles' but offhand I can't remember their correct name.

And for the weevil; have a look at Phyllobius pomaceus. They do vary a bit in colour and the shiny effect tends to diminish with age. (As many of us will testify!)
