| | | Wasp doing strange thing in my bathroom!!! Hi, I'm new and I have a very strange question - don't laugh!! For the past day or so a solitary wasp has flown into my bathroom and on my stainless steel light fitting has been bent double in the centre walking round and round and has created a small black "thing"! It is always coming in and out and I inadvertently shut the window and the wasp was banging against it, I re-opened it and the wasp flew straight in and straight to the light fitting and repeated the same thing - what is happening?? Please help!!! |

| | | Re: Wasp doing strange thing in my bathroom!!! Sounds like the wasp has decided your bathroom may be the ideal place to start a nest, the "thing" might be the holdfast at the base of the nest. If she starts constructing a small paper shell I'd keep the window shut until she gives up and goes elsewhere. |

| | | Re: Wasp doing strange thing in my bathroom!!! Hi guys , thanks for the help. I woke up this morning and discovered what looked like two paper hexagon holes on either side of the black 'base' (thanks matt!!) and thought it looked like the beginnings of something I really didn't want in the middle of my bathroom (although whacking a wasps away whilst I'm in the bath does sound fun, whats a few angry red lumps now and then!!) I just don't understand why they would want one in plain sight, I thought they liked dark musty places?? Maybe I should clean a bit more :-) PS don't know if I'm replying to posts/answers correctly, this is the first forum I've ever been onto - not even on facebook!!!!!!!
