Any chance of an ID of this ? From wet woodland, 5mm long.
I think it is a ground beetle, possibly Bembidion sp. ??

I don't think it's a Bembidion - its too spindly and the maxillary palps seem to have a fully developed end segment.

Can't really be of much help here as I always struggle with beetles.
That one does remind me of a Cantharis species but my first thought doesn't look quite right Cantharidae |

Aren't you 'beetle bods' usually keen to check out a beetle's genitals?
Fred: 'Hey Bob, I've found a female Stag Beetle!'
Bob: 'Let's check out it's genitals.'
Fred: 'We don't need to - it's a Stag Beetle!'
Bob: 'Yeabut - let's do it anyway.'
And the poor creature gets subjected to an intimate gynaecological examination!
