| | | Lots of Pipiza Hi folks
Yesterday was amazing for Pipiza - I spent a couple of hours at Ingoldby Wood (LOincs), concentrating on Pipizines - quite a haul: Pipiza luetitarsis (1m 1f) Pipiza noctiluca (4m 9f) Heringia latitarsis (2m) Heringia heringi/senilis (2f)
I was not at all sure I was getting much variation when taking them so the haul shows the value of holding on to material.
Modest haul of Cheilosia too C. albitarsis
C. bergenstammi
C. fraterna
C. pagana
C. proxima
C. variabilis
Lots of Syrphini this year - again plenty of Dasysyrhpus.
May is nice!
Regards
