| | | Is this Bombus vestalis pls? This in the garden today - sorry such a poor shot (wouldn't stop moving except when hidden!) but seemed as big as a big B. terrestris and distinctly odd. Or was it just poorly? Any help appreciated, as ever! |

| | | Re: Is this Bombus vestalis pls? The same bumblebee has been around in my garden for a few days, searching in the same area. It lacks the middle yellow band. It is a cuckoo bumblebee but I wouldn't venture a name. B. vestalis is a possibility.

| | | Re: Is this Bombus vestalis pls? In southern England, this is very likely (but not 100% certainly) going to be B. vestalis. Where Africa lives (in Hull) there is an increased liklihood of finding B. bohemicus as well as B. vestalis |
