I have a bit of a puzzler here, I think this might be the Southern Damselfly - Coenagrion mercuriale, it has the short pterostigma, dark with light border around and the pale stripe between the eyes, could someone please help with the Id,

Where exactly did you see it? The Southern is very restricted in location. |
