Preserving a wasps nest?

Does any one know how to preserve a wasps nest? I've had to remove a small one from the attic as the guy I lodge with is terrified of them ( and anything that crawls or flies) the nest is beautiful, it's a shame the wasps have to die but if I could preserve the nest it would be so nice to look at. Any ideas?

Just keep it dry and, once it is dry, in a sealed container to stop pests from eating it. It could last for years

You could very gently varnish it with a clear polyurethane varnish using a very soft brush, it will take on a slightly different look but it will be a lot stronger.

Thanks for that, I'll try to varnish it. I wish I could just leave it but it would get moved around alot and damaged
