| | | Re: Today's garden foray Not a lot of information to consider in those rather dark slightly fuzzy photos I'm afraid. And some of those species would be difficult to identify from perfect images.
But just as guesses.
No. 1, also consider one of the Andrena species or, depending on size, even a bumblebee like Bombus pascuorum worker (10-15 mm); Nos. 2 & 3, difficult to say as there are several similar flies, one for the experts; No. 4, hoverfly possibly Melanstoma sp (need better detail); No. 5 another hoverfly, Syrphus sp. probably S. ribesii; No. 6, an interesting hoverfly but the image isn't clear enough, however I am tempted to consider a rather dark Meliscaeva auricollis; No. 7, another of those anonymous little mining bees that get everywhere, they are difficult to identify from perfect see everything photos, possibly one of the Andrena or Lassioglossum species. |

| | | Re: Today's garden foray Thank you, Geoff, for even attempting ID's. These little ones are so sensitive to movement and won't keep still for long!

| | | Re: Today's garden foray #1 is a female Andrena fulva
#6 is a female Lasioglossum. Impossible to determine to species level from a photo I'm afraid |
