( the ID requires genital examination for these typical-looking sarco's) #2: Reminds me of a Sarcophagid again, but could be a Tach. Not sure on that one. #3: Anthomyiidae - I'll let others go for this one! #4: Stratiomyiidae, Beris chalybata most likely I'd have thought. It seems to be a very common one at the moment appearing on WAB about three times this year so far. I've also had both sexes too. #5: I personally couldn't say better than Anthomyiidae. #6: Muscidae, and Phaonia sp. looks OK.

| | | Re: A few insects for ID/Confirmation please For the third, I was thinking it may be from the Anthomyia pluvialis group - but thought better of suggesting that, since most images of black-on-white Anthomyiidae members on the 'Net tend to end up with that name! Still, it quite possibly could be - but I'll leave that for someone else to say. |
