| | | Hoverfly I.D. Please? Hi,
Could anyone help with an I.D. on this Hoverfly please?
I'm thinking Epistrophe elegans, but would appreciate some more knowledgeable input

I agree, elegans. Has anyone noticed the abdomen appearing to be a little thinner? I wonder if they can get dehydrated - spiders can, and the abdomen during such periods appears drawn-in.
Take care, Jason |

Data would be useful for the recording scheme Hoverfly Recording Scheme - Index
date, grid ref locality and recorder - a useful species because it is responding to climate change.
Regards
