Looks like Gymnochaeta viridis, one of those nasty Tachinid fellows.

Evening Shenk,

I certainly agree with Will's ID! From a quick glance these can be mistaken for Greenbottles (by me once too!), but with the flat appearance, spiky body, wing venation and head it is easy to seperate with practice.

The pinky colouration is from the ageing process - bright green ones tend to be younger, then as (I believe) the sun affects the pigmentation it becomes reddish whichonly increases with age.
