| | | Click beetle identification Mark Telfer has made available an up-dated version of Joy's keys to the Elateridae, Eucnemidae and Throscidae (= 'click beetles') along with tips and references. This should be regarded as a beta test version of a key to the British click beetles. Elateridae, Eucnemidae and Throscidae |

Most of the species are fairly straightforward if you have an up-to-date key. My copy of Joy has lots of notes in the margins of the Elateridae section; unfortunately I can't always remember what the notes mean |

| | | Re: Click beetle identification " fairly straight foward",that is very encouraging for sure, Paul, as good as it gets.Yes the illegible notes on books thing, sounds familiar ,it is an old charter or something(Along with the odd diagram/sketch),all presumed to be useful for a later date um... I wonder about that.
Cheers Jason |

| | | Re: Click beetle identification The site is really comming along now, a must for those interested in Coleoptera... Identifying beetles
While checking out the test key for Ptiliidae i noticed a reference toward an up and coming book Beetles of Britain and Ireland, Vol. 1 by Andrew Duff. Has anyone got any info on this book | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
