2 new Garden bees for me,for Id please
Hi found these 2 regularly patroling the shrubbery in my garden.They did not seem to bee pollen collectors and appeared to patrol and then land on a leaf,not unlike hovers do.If the photo's arnt good enough i can possibly get more angles,but these were very nervous types.

The first is likely the Red Mason Bee Osmia rufa, and the second an Andrena.

Both specimens are males.

Jason is right about them both. It is possible that the male Andrena is A. carantonica (=A. scotica)
