Female Syrphus ribesii or rectus. The all yellow hind femur distinguishes them from S.vitripennis. They can only be only be separated by microscopic examination for presence of microtrichia on the basal cells.

But S. rectus is rare. Stubbs only mentions 6 confirmed records in the UK; although it is quite possible that is is more common but usually overlooked.

You have managed some good photos there, Toby, dandilions always prove difficult to obtain correct focus.
