Any grasshoppers nymphs yet?

Afternoon all,

Have any WAB'ers seen any Grasshopper/Cricket nymphs yet - or is it too early?

Saw first cricket nymph 28/04/10 in woodland edge. Far South Devon area. Haven't attempted an ID yet; but that may well prove impossible at this early stage anyway.

plenty of groundhopper nymphs recorded earlier in the week

I've seen Dark Bush-Cricket nymphs.Adults and nymphs of the Slender and Common Groundhoppers.

I've got some type of grasshopper/groundhopper in my garden.They are mottled brownish/greyish in colour, very well camouflaged on the rocks. Keep trying to get a photo but they are too quick. Does anybody know what they are likely to be.

...and there was me thinking it was early!

One Grasshopper (Field, I believe) nymph, and a possible Roesel's Bush-cricket nymph nearby.

I had nymphs of Field Grasshopper around the middle of April in E. Berkshire.

If anybody fancies having a go, here is my photo

The commonest species here are Speckled Bush Crickets with a few Dark Bush Crickets.

This does look a bit like a Dark Bush; but I'm not going to commit myself.
