Small wasps nest

I have a solitary wasp making a small wasp nest in my downstairs toilet, should I get rid of it or will it not cause me a problem. I would prefer to leave it there if I can. I have a 3 year old so I don't want to risk him getting stung.

If it is a small golf ball sized paper nest hanging from the roof, it is the first stage of a nest of one of the social wasps. As such, it is going to get bigger and generate a lot more wasps as the summer progresses. The sheer number of wasps may cause a problem in this case as it is indoors.

It's much smaller than a golf ball, about an inch long oval shape. I've had them in my shed and never encountered the wasps I'm not sure if I should get rid of it. I like to leave it but if it's going to cause problems I won't.
